A Damascus Legacy with Global Reach
Founded in Damascus in 1987 as Al Kherdaji Law Office by the late senior Attorney Ousama Al Kherdaji, the practice — today known as Al Kherdaji & Associates Law Office (formerly Al Kherdaji Law Office, and thereafter Al Kherdaji & Diab Law Firm) — is one of Syria's established legal practices, providing comprehensive legal services to domestic and international clients for nearly four decades.
Today, the office is led by Dr Sadir Alkherdaji, a licensed lawyer, legal consultant, and international arbitration practitioner with extensive experience across the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Through its network of affiliated offices and strategic partners, the firm combines deep local knowledge of Syrian law with international legal standards and cross-border expertise.

The Journey Since 1987
The Foundation
Al Kherdaji Law Office is founded in Damascus by the late Attorney Ousama Al Kherdaji, establishing a practice built on integrity, diligence, and service to the Syrian business community.
A New Generation
Dr. Sadir Al Kherdaji is admitted to the Syrian Bar Association and joins the practice, representing clients in litigation, arbitration, and advisory matters. The firm is renamed Al Kherdaji & Associates Law Office.
Al Kherdaji & Diab
Attorney Razi Diab joins as partner; the firm operates before the Syrian Bar as Al Kherdaji & Diab Law Firm.
Return to Al Kherdaji & Associates
The partnership with Attorney Diab concludes, and the firm reverts to its present name, Al Kherdaji & Associates Law Office. In parallel, Dr. Al Kherdaji founds Cham Consulting, extending the firm's reach into cross-border investment advisory and, from 2012 to 2021, serving as the firm's vehicle into the Malaysian market.
Establishment of Al Kherdaji International Legal Consultants Ltd.
Cham Consulting's Malaysia-facing role is succeeded by Al Kherdaji International Legal Consultants Ltd. (AILC), founded by Dr. Al Kherdaji and incorporated in RAK ICC, United Arab Emirates, to serve foreign investors across Southeast Asia and MENA regions.
Re-domiciliation to Malaysia
AILC is re-domiciled to Labuan, Malaysia, establishing a direct on-the-ground presence in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
Expansion to the GCC
Kherdaji & Kaplan FZC LLC is co-founded in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, extending the firm's cross-border capabilities across the GCC.
Renewed Direct Engagement in Syria
Dr. Al Kherdaji’s full practicing status before the Syrian Bar Association was formally reactivated, integrating nearly three decades of international practice with renewed, hands-on Syrian representation. His membership in the National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce – Syria (ICC Syria), originally established in 2002 and maintained until 2011, was likewise reactivated in 2026 following the removal of international sanctions on Syria.).
